Winter Wonderland

This interior is all about elevation.  Our client wanted to take their holiday retreat to the next level. They wanted every moment in this space a surreal winter dream.  This interior is dominated by vast windows allowing the light from the magnificent snowscape that surrounds the property to pour in. We wanted to capitalise on this so focused our attention on creating an open space that invites the sunlight of a crisp snowy day in. This light is met with the contrasting light of the roaring fire at the centre of the room. Our client, an author, wanted a space where they would feel both inspired, yet called to relax with a good book and a cosy blanket in front of the fire. In order to create a truly bespoke space, We sourced some exceptional american white oak for our client that spans the full height of the chimney breast. This wood, paired with subtle details and complementing textures created a truly exceptional design that is both minimal and effective.
