As our lives become busier and the city comes noisier, the desire for simplicity and big open spaces grows. Our client wanted simplicity. But simplicity does not mean devoid of uniqueness. To us, it means exactly the opposite. Simplicity means a considered harmonious beauty that is unique to every individual’s taste and life style preference. As the natural light poured into our clients living space and they spoke to us about their love of the outdoors and natural spaces, it was clear that incorporating raw materials would be key in creating a space bespoke to their taste. Live greenery was paired with a rustic stone finish to give a contemporary character to the space, whilst also welcoming the outside in. This space has been transformed into a balanced haven with just a hint to the rugged wilderness they long for. For a client with a city work life, a retreat is now part of their every day reality.
