A City Dream

As any astute businessperson is aware, maintaining a healthy work/life balance is a priority in ensuring both aspects of our lives thrive. Home offices are incredibly beneficial to those of us looking to maximise our time and efficiency in business, however, as working from home becomes a part of our daily lifestyle, the issue of creating clear boundaries is more important than ever. Our client needed an environment that shifted their mindset as soon as they entered the space. The brief was simple: a space that was minimal and clutter free to increase peace, productivity and focus. By inviting natural light in from floor to ceiling windows, we were able to floor the space with energy-boosting daylight, whilst picture-framing the impressive and aspirational views of the city’s financial district. For those spending hours at their desks, ergonomic design is incredibly important in maintaining a high standard of physical health. This is why each furniture piece has been specifically selected and designed with both functionality and aesthetic in mind. We have also used a colour palette of neutral, cool tones, proven, through colour theory, to boost productivity. These tones flow in harmony with our client’s home decor, whilst also marking a clear distinction between work and play in relation to the rest of the property. This is a space that promotes immersion in the task at hand before retiring for the day into their cosy living room a stone’s throw away.
